Portfolio of decision support tools to help reduce the impact of fisheries on vulnerable species and areas

• Bycatch risk maps tool, a user-friendly app to display the areas with the highest bycatch probabilities at various temporal scales – developed by AZTI 

• BenthoSearcher 2.0, an AI-algorithm fed with images/video from electronic monitoring  system to allow fleets to monitor benthic ecosystems and bycatch in real-time – developed by CSIC 

• Displace, a decision support tool to evaluate socioeconomic impacts on fisheries in marine protected area design (i.e., vulnerable marine ecosystems, other vulnerable habitats, and sensitive species)  – developed by DTU 

• i-EYE, an AI-based automated monitoring of cetacean and seabirds in demersal trawl fisheries  – developed by Zunibal and AZTI
