Portfolio of smart system providing real-time decision to optimize fishing operations/strategies

• Optigear: AI-based decision support system to optimise gear usage parameters in relation to their own past observed catch, fuel usage, and environmental impacts – developed by MFRI, Trackwell and BRIM 

• Catchwise  software: AI-based decision support system to optimise fishing efforts, reduce environmental impact (CO2) & provide advice on potential areas with high bycatch – developed by Catchwise 

• Hafsýn software extension: AI-based fleet optimisation software extended to avoid bycatch and sensitive marine areas, as well as monitoring environmental impacts – developed by Trackwell. 

• A mobile application for catch/effort registration in small-scale fisheries to reduce their environmental impacts on marine species and habitats by enabling real-time monitoring of fishing effort and bycatch – developed by CCMAR
